Self Help Graphics and Art is proud to present The Shell in the Clouds (El caparazón de las nubes), Pavel Acevedo's culminating exhibition opening this Friday, December 10 from 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. In his exhibition, Pavel invites audiences into an environment filled with images exploring migration and adaptation conveyed through mythical Zapotec stories shared by the artist's elders. The exhibition will be open to the public December 10, 2021 - Feb. 19, 2022. Masks are required for all visitors, including vaccinated guests.

Did you know that our Self Help Graphics & Art Youth Committee and Youth Artivism Internship programs help us to support grassroots advocacy in our community? Participants receive monthly training on civic engagement, how to lead programming, artivism, and vital issues of interest, such as affordable housing, renters rights and LA’s first Youth Development Department.
